The Covenant of Eternal Marriage 🤍
A covenant with God is not a casual promise—it is sacred, deliberate, and eternal. It is an invitation from a loving Heavenly Father to walk a higher path, centered on Jesus Christ and guided by divine purpose. When we make sacred covenants, especially those made in the temple, we choose to bind our lives to God and trust Him with our present and our future.
God’s covenants are acts of love. They clarify who we are as His children, remind us why we are here, and anchor us in the direction we are going. In a world that constantly shifts values and priorities, sacred covenants provide stability, direction, and spiritual power. They shape our decisions, refine our character, and help us become more like the Savior.
Keeping sacred covenants is not always easy, but it is always worth it. They require faith, obedience, humility, and patience. In return, God gives peace, strength, forgiveness through Jesus Christ, and purpose beyond this life.
Covenants do not remove our challenges, but they give us the power and hope to face them, knowing that God keeps His promises.
Temple covenants, in particular, lift our vision beyond this life. They remind us that families can be eternal, that love can be sealed by divine authority, and that our relationship with God is meant to grow deeper, not temporary. They are intended to be lived daily—in our thoughts, choices, relationships, and quiet acts of discipleship.
This day, we choose to honor the sacred covenant of marriage made before God—not perfectly, but faithfully. With gratitude for His guidance, trust in His timing, and a commitment to love and serve each other, until the end.
