Southampton could have their Championship play-off final against Hull City delayed because the EFL is investigating a “Spygate” scandal. Southampton are accused of watching Middlesbrough training sessions before their semi-final match.
A disciplinary hearing will take place by 19 May, just days before the Wembley final scheduled for 23 May. Possible punishments could include a fine, points deduction, or even removal from the play-offs. The EFL says the match is still expected to go ahead as planned, but backup plans are ready if changes are needed.
