Chelsea have sacked head coach Liam Rosenior after less than four months in charge. Rosenior won 11 of 23 matches across all competitions, but a 3-0 defeat at Brighton marked their fifth straight league loss without scoring—the club's worst scoreless run since 1912. Chelsea slipped to seventh in the Premier League.
Calum McFarlane, Rosenior's assistant, will serve as interim manager. Possible permanent replacements include Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola, Fulham's Marco Silva, and former Dortmund boss Edin Terzic.
Chelsea's poor run included just one win in their last nine league games, no clean sheets in 12 matches, and defensive struggles from set pieces. McFarlane’s first game is against Leeds in the FA Cup semi-final.
